Assassin's Quest

After reading the first and second Farseer books I was looking forward to reading this. It was quite different to what I expected but still very very good.

The story is stripped down early focusing on Fitz as he begins the quest of the title. Some new characters are introduced then also depart. It is not until later on that many characters from the other books reappear. The ending is good and finalises many things whilst also leaving room for future stories.

I found this a very challenging book to read. It is not a page-turner and requires patience. Some people will not enjoy this. I found it immersive and all-encompassing and would really enjoy re-reading it and the preceding novels.
