Bratty Military Sci-Fi

This novel is the basis of the sci-fi action movie Edge of Tomorrow starring Tom Cruise and Emily Blunt. This is one of those adaptations, like Robert Ludlum's Bourne books and the Matt Damon films that bear the same names, that shares some basic story elements and character names with the film version but little else. Anyone would be remiss in trying to compare them very seriously; they're just two different things. While I would be lying if I said I liked this book better than the film (which was co-written by Chris McQuarrie, the man who wrote The Usual Suspects), I did enjoy it quite a bit. The concept isn't exactly unique but the action moves along at a brisk pace and keeps you entertained. For fans of bratty military sci-fi.
